From Donations to Impact: A Look at What Skutt Catholic High School Achieved

The Ryan Foundation continued its commitment to the $3 million pledge to V.J. and Angela Skutt Catholic High School by providing $1.2 million in funding between 2023 and 2024. Each year, approximately 38% of Skutt Catholic students rely on financial assistance. In 2023–2024, 68 students and their families received support through this funding.

Skutt Catholic High School has earned national recognition for its academic excellence. In 2022, it was one of only 420 schools to receive the prestigious National Blue Ribbon designation. The school offers a comprehensive college-preparatory curriculum, with more fine and performing arts courses than any other private school in Nebraska. More than 99% of graduates typically pursue post-secondary education.

The Ryan Foundation also played a key role in launching the campaign for the new St. Wenceslaus Church and chapel, the site of Skutt Catholic’s 2023 graduation ceremony. The event drew more than 2,000 attendees as 189 seniors received their diplomas. The Legacy of Dr. Wayne and Eileen Ryan lives on with providing affordable catholic education to all no matter their religious beliefs.
