Investing in Faith, Education, and Opportunity: The Ryan Foundation's $1M Commitment to the Archdiocese of Omaha

In December 2025, The Ryan Foundation contributed $1 million to support Catholic education and scholarship programs through the Archdiocese of Omaha, continuing the legacy of Eileen and Wayne Ryan. Education has the power to change lives, strengthen communities, and create opportunities for future generations.

This investment helped expand educational opportunities for students across the Archdiocese of Omaha. During the 2024-2025 school year, Foundation-supported programs provided assistance to 34 Catholic schools, helped fund scholarships for 136 students, and awarded support to 46 Catholic high school students pursuing a faith-based education.

The need is significant. At many of the elementary schools receiving support, more than 65% of students qualify for free or reduced lunch, demonstrating the important role scholarship assistance plays in helping families access quality educational opportunities.

The Ryan Foundation's support extends beyond the classroom. Through partnerships with the Archdiocese and local schools, funding reached students and families in both metropolitan and rural communities, helping remove financial barriers and creating pathways to academic achievement, leadership, and service. In addition, 92 families received assistance through scholarship programs during the year, helping make Catholic education more accessible to those who need it most.

The Ryan Foundation remains committed to supporting organizations that expand access to quality education and create opportunities for future generations. Together with our partners, we are helping students thrive through faith, education, and community investment.
