The Ryan Foundation: Building Stronger Communities One Home at a Time

In November 2025, The Ryan Foundation donated $655,000 to Project Houseworks, now known as HomeWoven, supporting its mission to preserve and create affordable housing throughout the Omaha metro. Since adopting its new name, HomeWoven has continued to expand its impact while remaining committed to helping older adults, hardworking families, and immigrant and refugee homeowners remain safely and independently in their homes.

Through its Home Preservation, Home Affordability, and Workforce Development programs, HomeWoven provides critical home repairs, accessibility modifications, affordable homeownership opportunities, and construction training that strengthen neighborhoods and improve housing stability. These programs not only address immediate housing needs but also help preserve generational wealth, promote independence, and create lasting opportunities for families across the region.

For more than 30 years, the organization has evolved to meet the changing needs of the community, helping more than 2,500 older adults and their families remain safely in their homes while expanding pathways to affordable homeownership. Today, HomeWoven continues to revitalize neighborhoods by investing in people, preserving homes, and creating opportunities that benefit future generations.
