The Ryan Foundation continues support for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Omaha
Strong communities are built when neighbors care for one another. For more than 150 years, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Omaha has stood beside individuals and families experiencing financial hardship, providing immediate assistance while restoring hope through compassionate, person-to-person service. Since 1868, the organization has helped meet essential needs through emergency financial assistance, food, clothing, homelessness prevention, and disaster relief.
In May 2025, The Ryan Foundation donated $1 million to support the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Omaha and its mission of serving our community's most vulnerable neighbors. This investment helps strengthen programs that provide critical assistance to families facing unexpected challenges, ensuring they have access to the support needed to regain stability and move forward with confidence.
Through a network of parish-based volunteers, food pantries, thrift stores, and outreach programs, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Omaha serves thousands of individuals and families each year. Its work focuses not only on meeting immediate needs but also on preventing homelessness by helping families remain safely housed during times of financial crisis. By building personal relationships with those they serve, the organization provides support that restores dignity, stability, and hope.

The Ryan Foundation is proud to partner with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Omaha, helping expand access to essential services while investing in a stronger, more resilient future for individuals and families throughout our community.
