In November 2025, food banks across the country began preparing for the possibility that millions of Americans could temporarily lose access to SNAP benefits. Recognizing the potential strain this could place on local food assistance programs, The Ryan Foundation responded during a critical moment of need.
Guided by The Ryan Foundation's mission to strengthen communities, the Foundation provided additional funding to help food banks continue meeting increased demand for essential services. From January through July 2025, contributions to food bank programs totaled nearly $1.2 million. As community needs grew, an additional $3.6 million was distributed to expand support and help organizations respond effectively.
Through these efforts, The Ryan Foundation remains committed to partnering with trusted community organizations to help ensure families have reliable access to nutritious food and the resources they need to thrive.
