The Ryan Foundation commits $224,000.00 to Essential Pregnancy Services

The Ryan Foundation recently donated $224,000 to Essential Pregnancy Services (EPS) in July 2024. This gift funded the purchase of capital equipment, including a 3D/4D ultrasound machine, and supported the expansion of clinic space at the Maple Village location from 1,500 square feet to 5,000 square feet. Previous funding from the foundation also enabled EPS to expand outreach efforts through billboards, social media campaigns, and search engine optimization enhancements.

EPS provides life-affirming, holistic support to women experiencing unexpected or under-supported pregnancies. The organization operates three centers in Benson, Maple Village, and Bellevue, supported by approximately 265 volunteers and 27 paid staff. Since 2022, the Ryan Foundation has contributed $1.1 million to EPS. In addition, Eileen Ryan personally donated $1 million beginning in 2013, reflecting her lifelong commitment to supporting women and children.

EPS is dedicated to ensuring long-term sustainability in its mission to serve women in need of compassionate, life-affirming healthcare, striving to be both the first and last stop for those facing unexpected pregnancies.

“We are thankful that Eileen cared so deeply for women and babies and chose to memorialize her philanthropic spirit in this way. These funds are now managed through a Board-Directed Operational Reserve and have been utilized strategically to support our work,” said Kerri Gilson, Executive Director of Essential Pregnancy Services.

Following a lifetime of generosity, Eileen Ryan designated EPS as one of three memorial beneficiaries at her service, asking family and friends to honor her legacy through their gifts.
